Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent for Space and Defense, Kristin Fisher covers everything including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Through that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' initiatives. The reporter also was on numerous trips with president and vice president, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Using her skills on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate of journalism at Boston University. She and her husband reside at Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
